Joint Teach For All & UNESCO Session: Lessons from this worldwide experiment in distance learning.
As part of UNESCO’s World Teachers’ Day 2020 formal program, this session will explore what various stakeholders have learned so far about the unprecedented shift to distance learning in response to COVID-19 and the realization that keeping students learning with technology requires more of teacher leaders, parents, and communities, not less. What are the biggest challenges we face in this “new normal”? How do we ensure that learners with limited or no connectivity don’t fall further behind? How do we better leverage technology, especially in communities with low/no-connectivity, to ensure it is used as force for greater equity in learning instead of deepening the learning divide?
